Student Council has been representing students at the University since 1945 and still uses a version of the original Constitution today.

The Constitution outlines the organization’s purpose, elected positions and their duties, basic accountability measures, and general organization structure. Amendments to the Constitution require a vote of the entire student body.

The Student Council Bylaws are an ever-changing set of rules, guidelines, and best practices that the Council sets for itself.

The Bylaws mostly concern the day-to-day activities of the Council. Amendments to the Bylaws only require the approval of the Representative Body.
