Coalitions and Advisory Boards
Public Service Advisory Board (PSAB)
Brings together students, public service leaders, and partner organizations to advance ethical, community-centered public service across Grounds and support UVA-Charlottesville engagement. We were formed in 2024, and have since collaborated on ways to connect public service initiatives with the student body and with each other to foster an ecosystem of civic leadership as part of a UVA identity. Our initiatives have included creating a Guidebook to Ethical Public Service, building a more navigable UVA public service website, presenting our work to University leadership, and connecting directly with students.
Safety and Wellness Advisory Board (SWAB)
Aims to enhance safety across Grounds by unifying efforts into a proactive and coordinated response framework. Our mission is to swiftly identify and address the evolving needs of students, streamline access to critical support services, ensure strong safety measures during emergencies, and provide student-focused trauma response efforts. We aim to promote a culture of coordination, care, and resilience, ensuring that every corner of Grounds has a voice in shaping a safer, more responsive UVA.
